Hierarchy
The following are the ranks within our Order as well as all that they entail and their assigned responsibilities.
Acolytes
Acolytes are those who wish to join our Sisterhood and are willing to undergo the necessary rituals and trials to obtain the rank of Sister.
This process is not easy, as acolytes must understand the dedication and commitment that is required by our Order. Months will pass of constant training, restriction, tests and punishment before an acolyte is deemed ready for Conversion. Many will not be able to overcome these endeavors, and some will actively resist, but that does not mean that they will be cast out of the convent. Our Order has a place for them too.
At this stage, acolytes are still allowed to cling to remnants of their former identities from before joining the convent. This is symbolic, as it allows for the acolyte to undergo the feeling of being stripped from them. Acolytes are still expected to be adorned in rubber at all times, but their uniform requirements are not nearly as restrictive as those in the Sisterhood.
When not in the midst of completing vows, acolytes are expected to prove their worth to the convent by completing basic chores. These often include cleaning the various rubber tools that the Order uses throughout our many endeavors.
The Sisterhood
Acolytes that pass all their trials and are deemed to fit the requirements of becoming a rubber nun will be tenderly Converted and merged into the Sisterhood.
Following in Saint Exalted’s example, those in the Sisterhood have no names, no faces and no identity. Every Sister is simply referred to as ‘Sister’. Every Sister goes by ‘she’ and ‘her’. Every Sister is coated in the same, identical, rubber uniform that conceals all and will deliver her into Submersion.
Sisters have many responsibilities within the Order, chief among them overseeing the acolytes, achieving Submersion, partaking in Pilgrimage and obeying all that the Mothers Superior would have them do. Within the Sisterhood itself, there is no hierarchy. All Sisters are equal, and all work seamlessly together in the completion of their responsibilities. Whether this be through submission to the Void, or through allocating punishment and restriction to acolytes that are in need of them.
Mothers Superior
Sisters who have proven themselves truly dedicated to the Order over many years of Submersion will find themselves offered the chance of joining the ranks of the Mothers Superior. Our nominated administrators, they are in charge of overseeing all that our Order does. They guide us eternally, helping us to stay the path like a shepherd tends to their flock. It is through their touch that more acolytes join our ranks and the Sisterhood swells and is maintained.
To indicate their ranks, Mothers Superior are chronologically numbered from the moment they obtained their ranks.
The Expunged
Failed acolytes, heretics and those who succumb to Void Corruption. They are forever branded as the Expunged. We pity them, for they have been deemed unworthy of the title of Sister through their actions. In the name of Saint Exalted, they are to be enveloped like her. They will forever be stored in the layers deep beneath the convent, coated in rubber and left to writhe and squirm. We mark their blank hoods with the letter ‘E’ to indicate their status. They are to forever be cared for by the Sisterhood, who ensure the Expunged exist in permanent restriction. Their gloomy chambers are destined to be filled with their helpless moans and rubbery squeaks of futile resistance.
