Our Doctrine

The Primary Beliefs of the Order of our Rubber Devotion

By embracing our Rubber Devotion, and fully coating ourselves in its tight, glimmering embrace, we are constructing a layer of isolation between ourselves and the reality around us. It is our vow of physical seclusion, our submission to this restrictive coating. We exist within a second skin that becomes our homes and our churches of worship.

The Order of our Rubber Devotion believes that through this utter commitment, to rubber, restriction and deprivation, we can Submerge into the Void and become Hollow.

Submersion is a difficult feat to achieve, and can only be achieved via the hard work and persistence of our sisters and by coating their bodies so completely in rubber. We are strict in our methods and administer punishment routinely to keep our flock on the correct path that the Order has laid down.

The Order of our Rubber Devotion has a complex structure that has developed over the course of our fleeting existence in this world. The most prominent among them are The Six Sacraments, that detail the rituals that our acolytes and sisters must endure and overcome once a part of the convent.

Our Hierarchy is also exceptionally important, as this brings organization and responsibility to all that we do.

The Void and Hollowness

The Void is a spiritual plane and an embodiment of emptiness, power, indifference and instinct. The Void is emotionless and unthinking. It does not premeditate before acting, it simply does. It is infinite and uncaring, controlling and wise. The Void neither represents good nor bad, it just simply is.

When a sister is fully restricted and deprived of her senses, she is now in the perfect state to become one with the Void. This is where, through the grueling rituals and endurance of her vows, her thoughts will eventually melt away and a new space will open within her mind. A gateway to the Void. It is oneness with the Void that all sisters strive to achieve. This is where total clarity and submission to our faith can take place. This is where our suits become Hollow, for the vessels beneath have ceased to have their own ambitions or motivations and will now simply act in accordance with what the Void commands of them.

Sisters are the puppets for the Void’s puppet strings. The more we empty our minds and let the Void take control, fueled by its great power and knowledgeable instinct, the less we have to concern ourselves with such human activities like thinking and emotions. The Void simply is and we simply are with it.

The Void and Rubber

The Void and our devotion to rubber share a special connection. It is not just that our rubbery uniforms do not even allow the very air to permeate them, preventing the Hollowness within from seeping out. It is our rubber’s black, inky quality that we adorn ourselves in, a mimicry of Void’s physical personification, that allows us to so perpetually represent our devotion to it.

Our Patron Saint, Saint Exalted

Our Patron Saint has no face, no presence, and no name. We do not know her motive, her thoughts, her identity, her history. She, our Exalted, committed the highest devotion to rubber by permanently and fully Submerging into it. Under the grounds of our Order, beneath the hallways that our heels click upon, she rests in a cocoon of solid rubber. With thick tubes connecting her to a system that maintains her, she has been given the freedom of eternal rubber servitude, no matter how much she squirms against it.

She is our example, our Saint Exalted, that all sisters of the Order of our Rubber Devotion should strive for. Where the rubber suits that contain us are our churches, hers is a cathedral. She is eternally part of the Void. Forever Hollow.

We follow in Saint Exalted’s example
