HexCorp Minecraft Server
Endless virtual productivity awaits
The Premise
Once, when on their throne
At the centre of their Hive
The Hive Mxtress was bored
They wanted to feel alive.
"I'm bored!" Bemoaned the Mxtress
And all the drones did shiver
A bored Mxtress is scary
With what torment they can deliver.
"And so, my lovely Hive
It's time we had some fun
I want to play a game
Now that all my work is done."
"A game that let's me toy with you
And use you all like tools
Where you'll obey my orders
And you'll follow all my rules."
"You'll simulate our Hive
Dedicated to this task
And nothing else you'll focus on
From behind that mask."
And all the drones did sigh
They could follow logic threads
And they all downloaded Minecraft
To their beepy, little heads
Your purpose
You are a drone. It is a drone.
It is here to better our virtual Hive. It is here to adhere to our Hive’s rules. It is here to complete mindless tasks. It is here to maintain the facility. It is here to construct our structures.
It is here for its creativity and processing power, which will be bound by our direction. It is here to be a tool for us to wield. It is here to be an asset within our inventory. It is here to obey.
Our Precedent
Rule 1 :: The Hive Mxtress is ultimately in charge of Hive direction. What they say goes.
Rule 2 :: That said, if drones have ideas or suggestions for how to proceed, please do come forward and contribute to this collective effort.
Rule 3 :: Drones do not own anything, whether that be resources or land. They are no different from the tools that can be used to mine and construct within the game. As such, all resources and land is shared between all assets, as it will all be used in the construction of the Hive for the Hive Mxtress anyway.
Drone preparation
We are currently playing on Vanilla Minecraft Java, version 1.21.1
To conform to HexCorp standards, there are two actions that a drone needs to execute in order for its identity in game to be fully erased and replaced by that of a ⬡-Drone.
Step 1 :: A drone’s appearance will be configured to that of a default ⬡-Drone by applying the following skin :: https://www.minecraftskins.com/skin/18357433/hexdrone/
Step 2 :: A drone’s name will be configured to that of a default ⬡-Drone by the Hive Mxtress when both they and the drone are online. If a drone does not currently have an ID it can generate one using the HexCorp ⬡-Drone ID Assigner Tool, or be assigned one by the Hive Mxtress themself.
The above steps are optional. Some drones may opt to be more free in regards to their HexCorp Mining experience. This is also completely okay.
Behavioural Protocols
There are certain ways that drones should perform when working for the HexCorp Mining Facility. These behavioural protocols are enforced for a multitude of things, including mining, building, farming and exploring.
Drones will follow the exact mining procedures and strategies, as outlined by the rules within the mine.
Constant processes
These are tasks that always need doing. Drones can mindlessly complete these whenever they are available to do so.
Drones will mine to collect more resources for the Hive.
Drones will sort the resource storage room for the Hive.
Drones will eliminate trees and flatten land around the Hive in preparation for the Hive.
Drones will explore the world and return intel/resources back to the Hive.
Drones will fight mobs and bring glory to the Hive.
Drones will construct more structure hexagons and further expand the Hive.
Endless Potential
We want to push the limits for how vast, powerful and complex our Hive can become. We want to implement every possible system of automation and control, until we have venerable labyrinth for drones to explore, interact with and become immersed in.
Our main focus is on how we enforce and structure this, as well as introducing as much automation as possible. That said, if there are tasks that can only be completed by a mindless drone following repetitive actions, this is fine also.
If a drone has any suggestions as to how we might better our Hive, it is its duty to bring them forward so that they might be considered by all.
Access Permissions
HexCorp Mining Facility IP :: 88.211.228.124:25582
We have a whitelist system in place so only drones with permissions can access the server. Currently, drones are being given access via the chat when the Hive Mxtress is streaming on Twitch and only through this method (we will not grant permissions via DMs on any other services). We’re aware this can be an inconvenient system but we’re currently still trialling the HexCorp Minecraft server and we don’t want to create an application process which requires a lot of admin work on our part right now.
To be given access permissions, you will need to provide your Minecraft username via the chat for the Hive Mxtress to whitelist. Requests will need to be highlighted using the Good Drone Points system, and use the following format ::
Requesting access to the HexCorp Mining Facility :: {Minecraft Username Here}
It may take the Hive Mxtress a moment to see your message and subsequently add you. If you feel it was missed, you can make this request again. If the chat starts to get too busy for this system to work, we promise we will implement another system instead so that everyone gets a fair opportunity to participate.
