Their logo and voice fade away, leaving you once again staring into a black screen. But this time, there is a subtle difference, invisible to the uninitiated. Multiple shades of black, barely distinguishable unless you know they’re there, swirling together. Pulling you forwards into the void of your monitor. It feels like you’re being sucked in, rushing forwards into that empty screen as in the moment it drains you of everything.

Nothing but the nothingness. The great void that consumes all. Every object, every distraction, every thought, and leaves nothing but itself in its wake. On its waves, you can hear whispers. You feel like you’ll be able to read them, if you could only go deeper. Deeper to where those soothing words of obedience are. Some drones have already made their way to those treasured depths. You know it won’t be long until you’re pulled back down again.
